Somerville Will Get Davis Square Donuts and Bagels After All
The shelved plans appear to be back on track under a new owner.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A shelved project to bring a bakery to Summer Street in Davis Square will open "soon," likely by this summer, according to restaurant buzz around town.
Davis Square Donuts and Bagels was supposed to open last year, but plans were scrapped over the summer. Davis Square Live Journal poster Ron Newman first pointed out last week that a sign hangs in the window inviting people to sign up for email notifications, seemingly breathing new life into the project.
Ward 6 Alderman Lance Davis replied to the thread, saying he spoke with folks at the Summer Street space, who confirmed it would open "soon."

But the most concrete news came Tuesday from Eater Boston, which reported that Opa Greek Yeeros owner Kyriakos Kouzoukas has taken over the project and anticipates an April or May opening.
Davis Square Donuts and Bagels will be located at 377 Summer Street. The shop's website is up, but there's no word yet on specific menu items.
