TEDxSomerville is Coming: Discussion Tonight on 'Greater Somerville'
TEDx, a series of conferences dedicated to spreading worthy ideas, is coming to Somerville, and it's the subject of tonight's "Greater Somerville" on SCATV.

A local version of TED—a series of conferecnes dedicated to "ideas worth spreading" and known for its inspirational speeches by important figures such as Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall and Malcome Gladwell—is coming to Somerville.
TEDxSomerville will take place March 4 at , and the theme of the conference is "creative economy ... sustainable community."
Speakers will include Brian Whitman, co-founder of Somerville's , Marcos Santos, a Brazilian-born musician who's performed with the likes of Paquito D’Rivera and the Gipsy Kings, and Schuyler Towne, a top-level competitive lock picker.

Join hosts Joe Lynch and KyAnn Anderson as they talk with C. Todd Lombardo, the executive director of TEDx Somerville, a special day-long event being held on Sunday, March 4th at the Armory. With a theme of "Creative Economy...Sustainable Community," the event will highlight some of the city's brightest thinkers, artists, musicians as well as local cuisines.
