Tenoch Mexican Planning to Open Davis Square Location
The popular Mexican eatery is looking at Kickass Cupcakes old spot.

Plans are in the works for Tenoch Mexican to open a Davis Square location at the former home of Kickass Cupcakes at 378 Highland Ave., owner Alvaro Sandoval told the Boston Globe.
Tenoch, which has locations in Medford Square and Boston’s North End, as well as a food truck, the Tenoch Movil, is known for its tortas, aka Mexican sandwiches, especially its Torta Campechana (pictured above).

The Torta Campechana has carnitas, chorizo, chipotle mayo, beans, onions, tomatoes, avocado and Oaxaca cheese on telera bread.
Kickass Cupcakes moved from Davis Square and then closed entirely at the end of July.

Sandoval, who was born in Veracruz, Mexico, lives in Arlington.
