Winner: Best Breakfast in Somerville

There were a number of opinions about the best place to get breakfast in Somerville, but when the dust settled there was one winner: .

We tallied votes, comments and reviews to determine the winner.

Anyone who passes through Ball Square on a Saturday or Sunday can attest to the long lines out the door at this breakfast and lunch hotspot.

When we called late Friday morning to inform Ball Square Cafe's owner, Mike Moccia, about the win, we could hear the busy sound of clinking plates and utensils in the background. (We agreed to speak with Moccia later, when it wasn't so busy.)

As one reviewer on Yelp put it, "The food is great. The service is very good. It's a no frills type of spot, but it definitely hits the spot."

There was some stiff competition.

in Union Square, another place that regularly has lines out the door, was a close runner up.

in Ball Square and in Teele Square were also popular choices.
