Winter Weather Likely to Hit Somerville
Somerville will likely receive its first dose of winter weather of the season on Monday and Tuesday.
Unseasonably warm temperatures have hit Somerville this winter including a record-breaking Christmas Eve. However, now is not the time to put away the hats and gloves because winter weather is likely heading towards the area.
Snow is in the forecast Monday night and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The exact accumulation was unclear, as the snow is expected to mix with rain Tuesday night.

- Monday Night: Snow is likely, mainly after 2:00 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28 degrees with a 60 percent chance of precipitation.
- Tuesday: Snow before 1:00 p.m., then rain and snow are likely after 2:00 p.m.. High temperatures will reach to around 37 degrees. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation.
- Tuesday Night: There is a chance of rain before 2:00 a.m. There is also a chance of freezing rain between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of approximately 31 degrees and a 40 percent chance of precipitation.
