'YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City' Somerville Food Event on April 25

Somerville's wide array of ethnic cuisine will be on offer at the Armory.

Somerville is home to lots of exotic cuisine: Nepali, Ethiopian, Turkish, Brazilian, Mexican, Thai, Indian ... the list goes on.

"YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City" celebrates Somerville's culinary diversity, letting people sample food from ten of Somerville's ethnic food restaurants.

The event takes place April 25 at , from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

In an announcement about the culinary event, Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone said, "One of the most enjoyable features of Somerville life is our rich cultural diversity. One third of residents were born outside the U.S. and more than 50 different languages are spoken at home by the students in our public schools. It should come as no surprise that we have some of the best international flavors on the east coast."
