Where Kids Learn to Code: Code Ninjas Opens in Springfield with Grand Opening Celebration April 18

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 7, 2026) – Code Ninjas, the nation’s largest kids coding franchise, recently opened its newest Springfield location in February. Located at 372 Cooley St., Space 25, the center is helping children ages 5–14 build coding, robotics, and AI skills through interactive, game-based learning. The program offers a fun, safe environment where kids can explore technology, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence along the way.

To celebrate the grand opening, Code Ninjas of Springfield will host a community event on Saturday, April 18. The celebration will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Attendees can enjoy refreshments, take guided tours of the dojo, and see students (“ninjas”) in action as they build their own video games. As part of the grand opening, the center is also offering a special $1 enrollment for one month, giving families an opportunity to experience the program firsthand.

Meet the Local Owners

Code Ninjas Springfield is locally owned by Vasundhara Kamisetty and Teja Mittapalli, longtime friends who were inspired by their own children and saw an opportunity to introduce more hands-on, engaging STEM experiences to local families.

Kamisetty brings over 15 years of experience in IT, while Mittapalli has more than 10 years of experience as a physician. Together with their husbands, Muthu Sivakumar and Aseesh Sreedharala, they combine their professional expertise to create a structured, supportive environment where children can build real-world skills in coding, robotics, and AI. The center proudly serves families in Springfield, Wilbraham, Ludlow, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Agawam, West Springfield, and Enfield.

“We saw a gap for hands-on STEM learning that truly keeps kids engaged,” said Kamisetty. “Code Ninjas gives them a place to build real skills while having fun and helps prepare them for a future where technology plays a role in everything they do.”

Empowering the Next Generation of Coders

Designed to make STEM education both accessible and engaging, Code Ninjas helps children ages 5–14 build practical skills in coding, robotics and AI through interactive, game-based programs. Accredited by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the curriculum is modeled after martial arts, guiding students through nine belt levels—from white to black—as they progress.

Families can choose from a range of programs tailored to different ages and skill levels, from early learning in Code Ninjas JR to the CREATE program, where kids build their own video games. Students explore coding through platforms like Minecraft and Roblox, as well as robotics and AI, turning screen time into skill-building time.

While the program is self-paced, students are supported by trained instructors, known as Code Senseis, and collaborate with peers in a fun, encouraging environment. Milestones like “Belt-Up” celebrations keep students motivated, and by the end of the program, each child will have created and published their own app, building real-world skills and confidence along the way.

Code Ninjas Springfield offers flexible weeknight drop-in sessions, weekend camps, and Parents Night Out events.
