Boys & Girls Club Creating Creation Club in Wakefield! Along with many more new programs!

Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield offers new programming!

Wakefield - The Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield is proud to announce new programming for our elementary school members ages 7 to 10.

The Club will be offering:

The Lego Club from 4:30 to 5:00pm on Mondays. In Lego Club, we provide the Legos, so members only need to bring their imagination. Lego donations are always welcome.

The Junior Science Club from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesdays. In Junior Science, Club members conduct exciting, simple and sometimes messy science experiments in a fun way to introduce them to basic scientific concepts. The gym will open for younger members on Tuesdays as well from 5:00 to 5:30pm for fun games like Ball Tag and Dodge Ball.

The Creation Club which is a hands-on learning program that combines skill and imagination. Our students learn to create using head, hands, and heart. Creation Club meets on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 4:45pm. Also on Wednesday, hockey will be our gym game.

Thursdays offer Minecraft/Roblox Club from 4:30 to 5:00pm. This program concentrates designing, building, and creating as opposed to strictly ‘playing’ the game.

The Boys & Girls Club also offers daily homework time and assistance from 2:30 to 4:30pm. Computers are available for homework help and educational games. Games room tournaments such as air hockey, foosball, and bumper pool are run each day.

The Club also sets aside time at the end of each day for members to play their favorite computer games. We also offer programs for our middle school and high school members.

These programs are available to our members at no additional cost to the $25 annual membership fee. Membership is open to all young people ages 7-18.

If you are not a member yet you can become a member at www.bgcwakefield.org. Come down to the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield located in the lower level of the Americal Civic Center at 467 Main Street to take a tour and learn more about what we offer.

The Club is open to members 6th grade and under Monday through Friday 2:00-6:00pm and members 7th grade and up until 7:00pm.
