The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield launched this scholarship after Board Member Paula DiBartolomeo realized that some Club members had trouble paying for their secondary education.

She went on to say, "The data gathered from our clubs shows us that Club kids get better grades, are more involved in their community, and are far less likely to experiment with risky behaviors. A small scholarship will help them continue doing just that once they're no longer in Stoneham and Wakefield."
