Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Winners Announced
Josh Doyle, Colin Canavan and Haley Green are the 2018 Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Award Winners

Each year, the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce dedicates a portion of the fundraising proceeds from events such as Town Day and the Health and Wellness Expo to fund scholarships for high school seniors planning to further their education.
This year, there were three Chamber Scholarship winners.
Colin Canavan was awarded the Kathleen E. Bray Scholarship for his dedication to the performing arts through his pursuit of a career in professional dance.

The John F. Mahoney Scholarship, given to a student will strong ties to science, was awarded to Hayley Green for her passion for microbiology and her desire to enter the field of genetic diseases research.
The Chamber Business Scholarship was awarded to Josh Doyle for the initiative he has demonstrated as a high school student which included forming his own business, founding a stock and trade club, as well as being active in community service organizations.

The Chamber’s ability to fund these annual scholarships is directly tied to the generous support of local business members. The Chamber’s members – approximately 260 local businesses - are dedicated to giving back to the Stoneham community by underwriting programs such as this and many others, including the Summer Concert Series and Town Day.
