Erin Calvo-Bacci for State Senate Kicked off her Campaign
Calvo-Bacci will bring common sense to the State Senate, fighting for the district to receive funding and making public safety a priority.

On Wednesday May 23, the Committee to Elect Erin Calvo-Bacci for State Senate kicked off the campaign at the Wakefield Crystal Community Club. Sarah Bacci, Erin and her husband Carlo's middle daughter introduced her mother, "Ever since I can remember, my mother has always had a strong drive for making a difference in the lives around her. Whether it's giving up time and energy to guide and support three children, bending over backwards for countless customers, or sacrificing several hours to sit down with an employee in order to build them up and set them off in the right direction. Seeing how much my mother cares about the progress and success of others, I can truly understand why she has been lead to run for State Senate."
Erin Calvo-Bacci was born in Malden and lived there until she moved with her family to Reading when she was in elementary school. She is a small business owner and advocate, an elected Town Meeting Member in Reading serving since 2011, a wife and a mother to three girls in the Reading Public Schools. "Wakefield is special to me, my father's grandparents had moved to Wakefield when they came from Italy and we started our family here in 1999. Due to burdensome and costly legislation we had to move from our house in Wakefield to an apartment above The Chocolate Truffle in Reading in 2009."
A current board member of the Retail Association of Massachusetts and serving on their Legislative Committee Calvo-Bacci an advocate for common sense public policy, “Over the years, we have seen fewer small business owners serving in the Legislature. That’s a problem as we seek public policy balance, and support for promoting, protecting and preserving our Main Streets. Erin has been an employer and a champion for small businesses for many years, and I know her voice on Beacon Hill would be very important for her communities, and for the entire Commonwealth,” stated Jon Hurst, President of the Retail Association of Massachusetts.
