Event Spotlight: Stone Zoo to Host Bottle And Can Fundraising Drive

The Stone Zoo is slated to host a Bottle and Can Drive on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in the parking lot.

The Zoo, located at 149 Pond St., is looking to help the environment and assist with your recycling at the same time at this event, which takes place on the second Saturday each month through October. The Bottle and Can drives began in April.

Here is a look at the dates of the remaining Bottle and Can drives:

• June 11
• July 9
• Aug. 13
• Sept. 10
• Oct. 8

All proceeds generated from the event will benefit conservation efforts supported by Zoo New England, the nonprofit organization that manages Stone Zoo as well as Franklin Park Zoo.
