Five Things: Boston Marathon, Patriots' Day and More

3. Run for the hills: The 116th Boston Marathon begins Monday morning. Here is a look at the start times for the various groups participating in the marathon, according to the Boston Globe:

  • Mobility Impaired: 9 a.m.
  • Push rim wheelchair division: 9:17 a.m.
  • Handcycles: 9:22 a.m.
  • Elite women: 9:32 a.m.
  • Elite men, wave one (red bibs): 10 a.m. 
  • Wave two (white bibs): 10:20 a.m.
  • Wave three (blue bibs): 10:40 a.m.

5. Shorts weather: Temperatures are expected to be in the 80s on Monday, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Stoneham, so make sure to drink plenty of water and perhaps break out the short-sleeve shirts and shorts. During the day, it is expected to be sunny with a high of 87 and winds of 6-14 miles per hour, while temperatures dip to a low of 63 at night with winds in the 7-13 miles per hour range.
