Five Things: Wet Weather in the Forecast for Stoneham Monday

1. Rainy conditions afoot? Wet weather may be moving in Monday, as showers are likely after 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Stoneham. Overcast skies and winds of 6-9 miles per hour are expected, and the town may receive less than one-tenth of an inch of rainfall. More rainfall may fall after 9 p.m., and temperatures may dip to a low of 55 from a high of about 68.

  • 3:30 p.m.: Boys' varsity tennis vs. Wilmington High School
  • 3:30 p.m.: Girls' varisty tennis at Wilmington High School
  • 3:45 p.m.: Boys' varsity baseball vs. Watertown High School
  • 3:45 p.m.: Boys' junior varsity baseball vs. Watertown High School
  • 3:45 p.m.: Boys' freshmen baseball at Watertown High School
  • 3:45 p.m.: Girls' varsity softball vs. Watertown High School

4. Cast your vote: We've already received nearly 300 votes in our Video Battle of the Bands competition. If you haven't , you still have plenty of time to do so.

5. Preview: The Major League Baseball (MLB) Pitch, Hit & Run skills competition comes to Stoneham 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at , according to the  website. Four ages groups can compete, including 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. There are four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2012 MLB All-Star Game for those who advance, according to the website.
