Franchisee: New Dunkin' Donuts at Former Boston Market Location in Stoneham May Open This Summer

The franchisee of a is targeting opening the coffee shop this summer.
Franchisee Salvi Couto, of Stoneham-based Couto Management Group, plans to put a Dunkin' Donuts at the same location Boston Market operated in for nearly 20 years before .
"Dunkin' Donuts is thrilled to be re-opening in the Redstone Shopping Center to serve the Stoneham community," wrote Couto in an email to Stoneham Patch. "At this time, design plans are underway for the restaurant, but are not finalized."

Dunkin' Donuts was a former tenant of W.S. Development, the leasing agent for Redstone Shopping Center. The old coffee shop was located where currently operates, while the new one will be next door.
On March 27, the Board of Selectmen approved a request by Dunkin' Donuts for a business license at the 65 Main St. location.

But when will the new coffee shop open its doors to customers?
"Currently, there is not a specific timeline as to when the Dunkin’ Donuts will re-open in the Redstone Shopping Center," wrote Couto. "However, we are looking forward to re-opening early this summer."
Of the 306,000 square feet of gross leasable area (GLA) at Redstone Shopping Center, Boston Market comprised 2,240 square feet of GLA, according to the lease plan on the W.S. Development website.
"To date, Couto Management has grown from a one-man operation to a fully functional organization successfully supporting 60-plus Dunkin' Donuts stores in the communities surrounding Boston and on Cape Cod," reads the company's website.
