How do Stoneham Residents Get to Work?

STONEHAM, MA—Commuting from Stoneham can be a pain in the rear sometimes, but it is a necessary evil that many of us must face on a daily basis.

According to FindTheHome’s most recent data, 21.8 percent of residents have 30-44 minute commute times to their place of work. 20 percent of residents take 20-29 minutes to get to work, and 26.9 percent of residents travel between 10 and 19 minutes to get to their jobs.

Given that residents aren’t traveling very far, it is no surprise that 88.85 percent of residents drive to work. Just 5.52 percent of residents take public transportation, significantly less than the county average of 10.98 percent.

However, it seems as if Stoneham residents are early birds. 47.12 percent of residents leave for work between 6 and 8 a.m., which is ahead of the county average by nearly three percentage points.
