“The Power Hour program after school is a homework help program to help members build healthy homework habits to help them succeed in school,” Divirgilio said.

Throughout the year, there are basketball leagues, performing arts and leadership programs for youths ages 11-18.

Divirgilio loves seeing their members grow up and mature over the years.

“I can say the best thing about the Club is seeing our members be responsible, productive citizens in our society,” Divirgilio said. “We have alumni’s that are policemen, firefighters, teachers, accountants and now their children attend the Club.”

The Boys and Girls Club is going on its 40th year and for senior citizens that still like to have fun, the Stoneham Boys and Girls Club have Adult Bingo on Saturday and Sunday nights beginning at 6:30 p.m. On Saturdays, they have two $3,000 progressive games, and on Sunday two $1,199 tax-free games and $200 in door prizes on both nights as well.
