
Mary R. Galdi, a resident of Stoneham for 40 years, passed away at her home on May 23. She was 71 years of age.
Mary was born in Medford on December 21, 1945, the daughter of the late Alfred C. and Mary R. (Palermo) Galdi. Mary was a graduate of Woburn High School. As a single mother, Mary later in life attended and graduated from Merrimack College. She then when on to attend Antioch University where she received her Master’s degree in Psychology. Her daughter attended both graduations. Mary worked for over 30 years in the mental health field and retired from Arbour Counseling Services after 25 years.
Mary was a dedicated clinician devoted to her work, her clients and raising awareness for mental health. Mary had a passion for art and fashion design. She attended design school and did some modeling in her earlier years. In the 90’s she owned and operated Elan Vital art gallery on Newbury Street in Boston. She was the beloved mother of Amy J. O’Neil and her husband Bill of Middleton. Loving grandmother of Perry Nicholas Galdi Triantos and cherished niece of Frances Galdi of W. Yarmouth. She is also survived by several cousins and dear friends.

A celebration of life will take place this summer for family and friends. There are no visiting hours.
