Meet the Zookeepers Day at Stone Zoo

Celebrate National Zookeeper Appreciation Week at Stone Zoo this weekend and see what it’s like to be a zookeeper. From food preparation to training, Zoo New England’s dedicated team of animal care professionals engage in a wide array of tasks to provide the highest quality of care to the animals that call the Zoo home.

Guests will learn about zookeeper responsibilities with presentations of day-to-day zookeeper activities including feedings and trainings. On Saturday at 11 a.m. watch the bush dog feeding and at 1:30 black bear training. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the Zoo’s staff and discover what it’s like to work with the animals every day.

Events take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
