POLICE LOG: Two Montvale Avenue Businesses Broken Into on Same Date

At 7:36 a.m. June 13, Stoneham police called to on Montvale Avenue on a report of a past breaking and entering. Police confirmed the caller's report of a breaking in, as they discovered the rear door was smashed. Police to investigate. At 7:37 p.m., police responded to Carpet Connection at the same Montvale Avenue plaza for a report of a past breaking and entering. Police found the rear door locks were compromised. No items reported stolen. Police to investigate that incident also.

June 13

@9:31 a.m.: Police repsonded to Fieldstone Drive for a report of a trash barrel stolen from in front of a home overnight.

@10:28 a.m.: Police called to the area of Main and South Streets for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One person was injured and taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. 

@12:27 p.m.: Police called to the parking lot following a report of several hypodermic needles found on the edge of the lot in a grassy area. Items were recovered.

@2:55 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries or tows reported.

@4:49 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Brentwood and William Streets. Caller claimed drug activity going on in the area. Police attempted to stop a vehicle on William Street, but the driver allegedly failed to stop. Vehicle stopped at William and Brentwood Streets area. Nelson Fernandez, 19, of 13 Orange St., Medford, was arrested and charged failing to stop for a police officer.
