Medford

: A Tewksbury man who allegedly blackmailed a Medford teen into having sex with him faces 46 new charges stemming from coercing underage girls into sending nude photos, and in some cases blackmailing them into having sex with him, prosecutors said. Thomas Hutchinson, 19, originally faced eight charges after he allegedly used multiple aliases through a social networking site to convince a 15-year-old Medford girl to send him nude photos, then threatening to distribute the photos unless she had sex with him, prosecutors said. He turned himself in to Medford Police last July. The new charges were brought forward after investigators scoured his computer files, discovering a trove of nude images of young girls, along with online chats and logs of converstations over Skype, according to the press release.

Melrose

: Residents and public officials from Melrose and surrounding communities flocked to Main Street Wednesday morning as soliders of the 182nd Infantry Regiment returned home. The division, based out of the Melrose Armory, has been deployed on a year-long mission in Afghanistan.

Wakefield

: Wakefield Police have released a drawing of the man they believe to be responsible for attacking a female in Colonel Connolly Park last week. On the evening of March 20,  while she was walking around Lake Quannapowitt at 8 p.m. The victim was able to get away safely. The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, about six feet tall, and 170 pounds with dark-colored eyes, a buzz cut and a little facial hair. The victim said he was wearking a dark-colored long sleeved shirt and jeans.
