I have to address Ms. McPherson's outright false letter to the Patch condemning our Town Moderator Jeanne Craigie. It is one thing to disagree with the voting outcome on article 22 but to insinuate that Moderator Craigie was to blame is absolutely ludicrous and completely unfair. First of all, the moderator was very professional and allowed equal time for arguments on both sides of the article with equal numbers of people pro and con. I'd say that's being unbiased. Craigie was considerate to all the speakers and never once showed any favoritism to anyone. Secondly; McPherson's tone was an insinuation that Stoneham TM voters are not intelligent enough to understand an article or to make an informed decision, and that is egregious and just plain rude. Because a particular article passed or failed is on the onus of the voters, not the moderator. This is an example of being a "sore loser" and trying to besmirch the Moderator's credibility. Well that won't happen because Mrs. Craigie held a fair, impartial and proficient TM and no letter, opinion or intimation will change that fact. She also happens to be a very active community leader and does not play games when it comes to our Town. Kudos and thanks to Mrs. Craigie for doing an amazing job albeit a tough job.
