Stoneham 20-Year-Old Needs Bone Marrow Transplant

To find a match and help Ally, a bone marrow registry drive is being held Saturday 1-4 p.m. at Senior Center.

Ally Little, a 20-year-old Stoneham native, needs a bone marrow transplant and you may just be a match.

Little was recently diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. SAA is a rare disease in which her bone marrow stops producing healthy blood cells. A bone marrow transplant is the only cure but currently Ally doesn't have any matches in the bone marrow registry.

That's where you come in. A bone marrow registry drive will be held Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Senior Center on Elm Street. You must be between the ages of 18-44 to be tested and join the registry. Bring your health insurance card to the Senior Center.
