Stoneham Track Stars compete at New Balance National Meet

This past Friday, June 19 2015, 4 Stoneham High Schools Track Stars represented the Town of Stoneham at the New Balance National Outdoor Track Meet in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Seniors, Matt Bergin and Jimmy O’Brien; Sophomores’ Michael Leung and Trevor Woodman competed in the 4x200 meter relay. They competed against 33 teams from up and down the East Coast as well as the Mid West. Over all the Spartans came in 14th out of 33 and ran a time of 1:31.686, shaving a full second of their personal best time. This feat is even more amazing as the weather was bright, sunny and over 90°F.

All of Stoneham is proud to congratulate these 4 young men for representing our Town at this National Event and competing at such a high level as well as working hard and being dedicated to their sport.
