The storm that raged through Stoneham and most of the Boston area Tuesday ripped down tree limbs, knocked out electricity and was responsible for a fire that destroyed a Main Street dentist’s office.

A fallen tree branch from the storm took down a power line that caused a two-alarm fire at First Dental Associates, 61 Main St., according to a WBZ-TV report.

The fire destroyed the inside of the building, but no one was injured, the report stated.
The storm also caused almost 900 Stoneham customers to be without power for much of the day. Electricity was restored to much of the city by Tuesday night, and Eversource Energy said all customers would have electricity by early Wednesday morning.
