Travel Back in Time with the Wednesday Patch Passport, to discover the history and roots of Stoneham.
When it comes to the rich heritage of Stoneham, the Fuller House is just one of dozens of historical buildings still found in the community.
William Griffin Fuller, who worked as a leather businessman, erected the Greek revival/Italianate home in 1850, according to Stoneham Historical Society's Historic Walk document. He lived in the home for the rest of his life.
However, after William Fuller's death his daughter donated the building to local civic group, who transformed the 19th century building into a "Home for Aged People in Stoneham," reads the Historic Walk brochure.
