UPDATE: Brockton Man Killed, Hit by Five Cars in Early Morning Crash
Police said the victim was hit by five cars after he was ejected from his vehicle.

One person is dead after an early morning car crash on Route 24 in Stoughton.
At about 3:11 a.m., state police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by exit 20 on Route 24 North in Stoughton.
According to a preliminary investigation, 1999 Acura crashed on the highway, causing a passenger to be ejected from the car. The passenger, a 21-year-old from Brockton, was then struck by a 2005 Lincoln LS operated by a 60-year-old male from Brockton, a 2009 Audi Q7 operated by a 45-year-old female from Mattapan, a 2007 Lexus IS250 operated by a 21-year-old male from Brockton, a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe operated by a 36-year-old male from Nashua, NH, and a 2009 Toyota Matrix operated by a 49-year-old female from Middleborough. The occupants of the vehicles were not injured, but the operator a 2008 Ford Fusion, a 28-year-old male from Roslindale was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

A 20-year-old male from Brockton, who was also in the Acura, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital injuries he sustained from the crash. Charges for the driver are under investigation.
The northbound side of Route 24 was shut down for several hours for the investigation and was reopened at approximately 8:55 a.m.
