Stoughton Arraignment for Alleged CVS Shooter Not Scheduled

Marcus Pierre-Louis is being held on $25,000 bail for different charges in Dorchester.

STOUGHTON, MA — The alleged shooter in a recent incident at a CVS in Stoughton is not scheduled to be arraigned, the District Attorney's office said.

Marcus Pierre-Louis faces multiple charges in Stoughton including attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and child endangerment. He was arrested Monday in Dorchester and arraigned in Dorchester District Court the next day on different charges. He was ordered held on $25,000 bail, according to the Stoughton Police Department.

For an arraignment in Stoughton District Court to occur, Pierre-Louis or his lawyer would have to file a motion in Dorchester District Court known as a speedy trial request to send him to Stoughton, according to David Traub, a spokesperson for the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.

Pierre-Louis will not face charges in Stoughton unless that happens or he posts bail in Dorchester, in which case, he would be held for transport to Stoughton, Traub said.

On Sept. 22, police responded to a shooting at the store located at the intersection of Central and Washington Streets. Witnesses say they heard an argument followed by gunshots. Three people allegedly ran out of the store and fled while the victim, a teenager, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The next day, police arrested two juveniles and identified Pierre-Louis as the third suspect. Pierre-Louis was arrested in Dorchester Monday night.
