Stoughton To Move All Voting To One Polling Location

STOUGHTON, MA — Stoughton voters will cast their ballots at a single polling location beginning with the town’s next election.

Stoughton will consolidate voting at the Dr. Robert G. O’Donnell Middle School, 211 Cushing St., starting with the Sept. 1, 2026 election. The change follows a town-wide vote during the April 2024 local election, town officials announced on Thursday.

Stoughton officials said the single location will improve efficiency, reduce costs and streamline staffing while providing residents with a smooth voting experience.

The town worked with the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s Office and Stoughton school administrators to address parking and accessibility for voters with disabilities. The state has also approved the change.

Residents will receive additional information by postcard. Updates will also be shared through the town’s social media accounts and other communication platforms.

The change will not affect voter registrations, and residents do not need to register again. Absentee voting, early voting and voting by mail will remain available.
