Stoughton Girl, Family Thank Supporters for 'One Direction' Effort
Several individuals attempted to ask the band to visit Madison Bergstrom in the hospital this weekend.

The family of a Stoughton girl battling cancer reached out to thank the community this weekend for their efforts in trying to get the band One Direction to visit them at the hospital.
Madison Bergstrom, a 6-year-old girl from Stoughton currently battling cancer, originally had tickets to see the band this past weekend at Gillette Stadium but was unable to go due to treatment, according to a Facebook page, dubbed “ Ask One Direction to Visit Madi,” organized to try to fulfill Bergstrom’s wish of having the band visit her in the hospital.
While the band did not appear at the hospital, the family thanked supporters for their effort, and said they were humbled by the outpouring of love and consideration shown by the community in a Facebook post.
