'We must work across the aisle to continue improving this country's economy and grow jobs.'

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, MA—Since 2007, Niki Tsongas has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd Congressional District (previously the 5th District), as the first woman from Massachusetts elected to the U.S. Congress in 25 years. She spent much of her youth working on political campaigns and traversed the country with her late husband Paul during his campaign for President.

Tsongas is defending her seat to Republican challenger Ann Wofford for the third congressional seat for Massachusetts. The third district includes Marlborough and parts of Sudbury, as well as towns in Worcester and Essex Counties.
