Justina Pelletier, held by Massachusetts for the past fifteen months, was transferred yesterday, per HHS John Polanowicz' reunification plan, to the JRI Susan Wayne Center for Excellence, a facility in Connecticut which is still an hour and a half away from West Hartford residents Lou and Linda Pelletier. However, Lou expressed relief to Fox CT's reporter Beau Berman, as the parents have been granted unlimited and unsupervised visits with their daughter in the new setting. Linda will stay in a nearby hotel so she can see Justina daily.
Followers of the case hope that this move portends an expedited return of the suffering teen to her family after her long ordeal. Justina's medical needs will be attended to by a nurse at the facility as well.
