SUDBURY, MA - The town is seeking to fill a grant-funded position to support a seven-town public health collaborative.
Sudbury is seeking a Regional Public Health Nurse, a role responsible for providing skilled, professional public health nursing in a regional capacity for the towns of Sudbury, Wayland, Weston, Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, and Bedford, collectively known as the Great Meadows Public Health Collaborative.
The RPHN would be a full-time, 35-hour-per-week position, though part-time candidates will also be considered. The nurse will provide skilled public health nursing services through a regional approach, with responsibilities including health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, health education, emergency and pandemic preparedness, and coordination, according to the posting.
The position also includes developing, implementing and evaluating population-based educational programs and public health messaging to address health and safety risks, in addition to responding to residents' individual needs.
Applicants must have education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and at least four years of experience in public health nursing or community health nursing. Familiarity with emergency preparedness and school nursing programs is preferred.
The FY26 pay range is $40.14 to $52.79 per hour, with starting pay based on qualifications. Sudbury said the position also includes benefits such as health, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a pension, and optional retirement savings accounts.
