Drain Investigators In Sudbury May Come To Your Door

Sudbury is looking for illegal drain setups in town. Someone from an engineering firm might knock on your door.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury has begun an investigation of town stormwater pipes to find out if anyone has illegally tapped into the drains. And the Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination investigation may mean investigators from an engineering firm will knock on your door.

During the investigation, workers from the engineering firm Woodward and Curran will be checking town pipes for connections that drain more than stormwater. The town's stormwater pipes drain into local waterways, and so the town is required to meet certain standards under the federal Clean Water Act.

Sudbury has published a photo array of the Woodward and Curran employees who will be working on the inspection, and who may knock on your door.
