Big events are happening in Sudbury to mark our 375th Anniversary this year. And word has been getting around by our newest partner, GetLocalMA, a company started by two local moms from Sudbury, Kimbie Mikula Maycock and Deborah Cadogan. GetlocalMA is about everything LOCAL going on in Sudbury and surrounding towns. Their website pages have information about our schools, sports, local dining spots, events and so much more. “GetLocalMA is bringing our community together by helping people find out what is going on and also by being a resource for local businesses to inform people about what they have going on as well. We are working with many of the local charities, schools and other non-profits to help them to reach the community. Our projects included working with Smilemass, Wounded Warriors, grade schools and high schools to help with fundraising,” says Kimbie.
We have two big Anniversary events that they are now publicizing for us. On Saturday, August 23rd there will be an Olde Time Community Fair in Town Center 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The Fair will be a FUN family event for adults and kids of ALL ages! There will be food, children's games, dancing, live music, pony rides, a petting zoo, a flower-arranging contest, a baking contest with local chefs as judges, and so much more.
On Saturday, Sept 6th there will be a day long Field Day with live music, games, food and fun with a Fireworks Extravaganza at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School from 12:00-9:00 p.m.
