Goodnow Library Director Not Picked For Framingham Job

SUDBURY, MA — The director of Sudbury's Goodnow Library won't be making a move south.

Goodnow Library Director Esmé Green was one of two finalists for the job overseeing the Framingham library system. The Framingham Board of Library Trustees voted 11-1 recently to select Lena Kilburn, Framingham's assistant library director, for the job.

Green has been in charge of Goodnow since 2011 and oversees the library's $1.2 million budget and 30 staff members. Framingham's library system is larger, with two branches and a budget of close to $3 million.

The Goodnow Library is still closed to the public due to the coronavirus. However, the library this week expanded its hours for pickup reservations from one to three hours.
