SUDBURY, MA — The main Goodnow Library building is still close to in-person browsing due to the coronavirus. But for the first time in months, patrons will get a chance to browse library materials at a special event on Wednesday.

The library is hosting a pop-up event in the parking lot featuring new books and DVDs for adults and children. Patrons will still need to take some precautions. Every visitor must wear a mask, and hand sanitizer will be available on site. Only a limited number of people will be allowed to browse at a time, the library said in a statement.

The library building closed to the public in March, but curbside pickup has been available for the last few months.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot, 21 Concord Road. The library has also put out a call for donations of paper shopping bags, which are used to deliver items.
