LS Scholarship Fund Announces Application Opening

LSRHS Seniors (Class of 2017) can begin applying for valuable scholarships March 1, 2017, closing March 31, 2017

SUDBURY- The Lincoln-Sudbury Scholarship Fund Dollars for Scholars (LSSF) announces the online availability of its 2017 scholarship application.. Beginning March 1, 2017, current LSRHS seniors can begin completing the 2017 online application at the website under the “Student and Parent” login page. The application period ends March 31, 2017, and scholarships will be awarded at the LS Senior Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

For more than 40 years, LSSF has provided scholarships for high school seniors attending Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, who are pursuing a full-time post-high school education, either at a two- or four-year college or accredited vocational training.

In May 2015, LSSF distributed 80 scholarships totaling over $160,000 to LSRHS graduating seniors, acknowledging their achievements and encouraging their future success as they moved on to college. In addition to academic achievement, scholarships were also awarded recognizing student participation in athletics, clubs, the arts, and volunteering.

LSSF manages 22 endowments established in memory of the donors' loved ones and community contributors. Additionally, LSSF offers an array of annual scholarships made available through individuals, businesses, and organizations within Sudbury. Scholarships are also funded through individual donations. Since its inception in 1976, the LSSF has awarded over $2.5 million to deserving students.

LSSF was a National Finalist in 2015 for the Irving A. Fradkin National Affiliate of the Year by Scholarship America, honoring and recognizing Dollars for Scholars affiliates that have performed outstanding service to their community and that exemplify the commitment of Dollars for Scholars, a program of Scholarship America, to making postsecondary success possible for all students.
