Meet The Candidates Vying To Become Sudbury's Next Town Manager
Three finalists hailing from Maynard, Southbridge and Middleton have applied to become Sudbury's next town manager.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury has narrowed the search for a town manager down to three candidates, and residents will get a chance to meet them at two online forums coming up in November.
Former town manager Henry Hayes Jr. stepped down from the job at the end of June after two years, kicking off a search process for his replacement. Sudbury hired the firm Community Paradigm Associates to look for candidates.
The resumes of the three finalists were submitted to the Select Board for review at the Nov. 1 meeting, and include:

- Gregory Johnson, the Maynard town administrator and former Westford procurement specialist. He has a bachelors degree from Norwich University and a master’s degree in public policy from Brandeis University.
- Michael McCall, the Southbridge town manager and former Chelmsford assistant town manager. He has a bachelors degree from Merrimack College, a master's in computer science from Boston University and a law degree from Suffolk University.
- Andrew Sheehan, the Middleton town administrator, former Townsend town administrator and former assistant town manager in Westford. He has a bachelors and a masters' from the University of Lowell.
Two virtual forums featuring the candidates will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9. Find Zoom login information on the town website.
Assistant Town Manager Maryanne Bilodeau has been acting as interim town manager since Hayes left. It's Bilodeau's third turn as the interim town manager: she served in the role after Maureen Valente left for a state job in 2015, and after Melissa Murphy-Rodrigues resigned in 2019 to become North Andover's town manager.
