The Power of Community

Help support HOPEsudbury

For 16 years, HOPEsudbury has been able to carry on our mission - to engage the people of Sudbury in community-wide efforts to provide humanitarian aid to people in need, both at home and abroad - through the generosity of our community.

The HOPE Fund provides short term financial support for Sudbury residents who have fallen on hard times. Since 2002, we have distributed more than $500,000 to hundreds of Sudbury families who have experienced financial emergencies. Whether it be a utility bill, an uncovered medical expense, or assisting with a rent/mortgage payment, The HOPE Fund can help.

In 2017, our HOPE Beyond Sudbury program provided funds to 8 non-profit organizations - locally, nationally and internationally – working to address the disadvantages of poverty and adversity in early childhood. A portion of this program is also used each year to support organizations providing rapid responses to crisis situations, such as the recent hurricanes that devastated portions of the US.

Additionally, from October 10-27, PENNIES for HOPE jars will be available in the lobby of each school. Please consider sending any spare change in with your school age child – you can help a good cause and teach your children a valuable lesson about how a little bit can add up and make a difference!
