Remembering Scott Milley, Killed in Afghanistan in 2010
Sudbury police sent out a reminder of the anniversary of Milley's death.

SUDBURY, MA — Lt. Scott F. Milley from Sudbury was killed in action on Nov. 30, 2010, while serving in the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan.
On the anniversary of his death, Sudbury police asked that residents take a moment to remember this 2005 Lincoln-Sudbury graduate.
Milley was killed while leading his soldiers during combat operations in the Baraki Barak district of Afghanistan, where insurgents attacked his unit. Milley was 23, and the recipient of the Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Purple Heart.

The Lt. Scott F. Milley Ranger Foundation was created to honor his life by raising funds to give scholarships to those in need and with a record of service and leadership.
