See Some Of The Oldest Homes In MA: 2026 Sudbury Witness House Tour
Some homes in Sudbury date back to 1663.

SUDBURY, MA — To celebrate America's 250th anniversary, the Sudbury Historical Society is presenting a special tour in town.
The Sudbury Witness House Tour will offer residents the experience to see some of the oldest homes in Sudbury, even those that witnessed the events of 1776, when the country ratified the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
The tour will begin at the Loring Parsonage, a home built for Reverend Israel Loring, who lived from 1683 to 1772. The home is now home to the Sudbury History Center and Museum.

The Witness Houses, homes that have been in Sudbury since 1776 or earlier, are now private residences. There are more than 30 of these homes in the town.
In 1776, there were over 300 homes in Sudbury, a town that included what is now Wayland and Maynard.

The oldest of the homes dates back to 1683 and is at the current location of the Wayside Inn, 72 Wayside Inn Rd. You can find a full list of the Witness Houses in Sudbury here, and the ones that will be toured will be announced on the day of the event.
