Sudbury Ballot Takes Shape Ahead Of 2026 Town Election: Select Board, School Committee And More
The ballot can still change until Feb. 25, the last day to withdraw.
SUDBURY, MA — Nominations papers for the 2026 Annual Town Election in Sudbury were due on Monday. Here's who is on the ballot to date.
Sudbury residents will head to the polls in March to vote on 11 open positions, and 11 people have filed papers for those positions. This marks the first time there will be no contested races on the ballot since 2005, according to the League of Women Voters of Sudbury.
The following positions and candidates will appear on the ballot:

- Select Board: one 3-year term
- Charles Russo
- Board of Assessors: one 3-year term
- Goodnow Library Trustees: two 3-year terms
- Mathews Iwasaki
- Mayyasi Elizabeth
- Board of Health: one 3-year term
- Susan Ruth Sama
- Park and Recreation Commission: one 3-year term
- Ryan James Poteat
- Planning Board: one 3-year term
- Julie Zelermyer Perlman
- Sudbury School Committee: two 3-year terms
- Julie Durgin-Sicree
- Ellen Lederer-DeFrancesco
- Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee: two 3-year terms
- Ravi Simon
- Jason McLure

Nomination papers to run for office in the 2026 Annual Town Election became available last month at the Sudbury Town Clerk's Office.

The Annual Town Election will take place on Mar. 30. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Fairbank Gym, 40 Fairbank Rd. The deadline to register to vote in Sudbury is Mar. 20, and mail voting will be available for the election.
