Sudbury Energy And Sustainability Committee Is Seeking Members

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a history of attendance at past Town Meetings or service on Town committees.

The Sudbury Energy and Sustainability Committee is looking for two residents of the community to serve as Members.

The intention of the Selectmen when creating this Committee was to provide a mechanism to assist the Board and Town Manager in developing programs and projects to foster energy conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy generation and sustainability planning. The Committee gathers, studies and evaluates information that will help determine various approaches for improving the energy efficiency of operating town and school buildings and vehicles, investigates alternative energy technologies and identifies funding opportunities to help the Town achieve its energy and sustainability related goals.

Desired qualifications include having resided in Sudbury for at least three years before appointment. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a history of attendance at past Town Meetings or service on Town committees. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate knowledge of energy conservation and management. Must be available and willing to attend the majority of scheduled meetings.

All interested residents are welcome to submit a Volunteer Application. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. All members are required to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
