“Strength to Love: Awakening the Dream” is a free event, open to the public. The gathering will feature singers from both communities, clips of Dr. King’s speeches and an interfaith reflection on his call to love, justice, and action.

"The violence in houses of worship in New York and Texas have given a new relevance to this event," Rabbi Josh Breindel (Congregation Beth El) explained. "Dr. King’s message of peace and unity among people of faith is an important wake-up call in our own times.” Reverend Tom O’Brien added, “We’ve designed this program to be accessible to people of all faiths and none. It’s a call for us to see one another as we truly are; imperfect and holy, each doing our best to bring healing to our communities."
