SUDBURY, MA — The Sudbury League of Women Voters is celebrating a successful fundraiser held this spring for a nonprofit that assists women impacted by domestic violence.

The LWV raised over $5,000 for the nonprofit Gifts of Hope Unlimited, Inc., according to organizers. The money will be used to buy grocery store gift cards to give to GOHU clients from Sudbury and other local towns.

"Every dollar raised will purchase grocery gift cards that allow a GOHU client to buy something they need for themselves and their children," LWV said in a news release. "Clients can use these gift cards to feed their families, purchase cleaning supplies and paper goods to keep them safe, and secure feminine supplies that provide dignity and comfort."
