Sudbury Master Plan Open House Coming Up

Sudbury formed a Master Plan Steering Committee in January to work on a vision for the town's future growth.

SUDBURY, MA — If you want to have a say in how Sudbury develops in the coming years, you'll want to attend the next master plan open house on Nov. 4.

In January, Sudbury established a Master Plan Steering Committee, which has been working to develop a plan for the town's future growth — that can mean everything from transportation networks to town services, open space acquisition, and housing.

Sudbury last updated the master plan in 2001, and town officials aim to finish and adopt the new one by spring 2020. The steering committee is in the process of letting the community give input on policies and other ideas that will go into the new plan.

The last public forum was held in May (and you can watch it on Sudbury TV) but the steering committee has been meeting regularly over the last six months.

The master plan open house will run from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Sudbury Pines Room in the Sudbury Senior Center.
