Sudbury Picks Andy Sheehan As New Town Manager
Sheehan comes to Sudbury after serving as Middleton's town administrator for nearly a decade.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury officially has a new town manager following a Select Board vote this week to ratify a contract with candidate Andy Sheehan.
Sheehan was one of three finalists select by the town this fall following a search process that began over the summer. Sheehan comes to Sudbury after serving for seven years as Middleton's town administrator, and as Townsend's town administrator for five years.
"The board was impressed with Andy’s qualifications and extensive municipal experience. We’re very pleased with the outcome and look forward to what Sheehan will accomplish for the community," Select Board Chair Charlie Russo said in a news release.

The other two finalists for the Sudbury job were Maynard Town Administrator Gregory Johnson and Southbridge Town Manager Michael McCall. The town used the search firm Community Paradigm Associates to find candidates, and held two public forums with the final three. Twenty-six people applied for the job.
Former Sudbury town manager Henry Hayes Jr. resigned in June two years into a three-year contract. The town hired Hayes, a former Hanscom Air Force Base commander, in April 2020.
