Memorial Congregational Church commemorated Brown with a post on the church's website.

"Over the decades, she made many wonderful friends and remained connected to MCC even when she was no longer able to attend in person," Pastor Tom O'Brien wrote.

The Historical Society also said that Brown was able to link her ancestry back to Edmund Rice, the original founder of Sudbury.

In October 2024, Brown received the Sudbury Boston Post Cane, which is awarded to the oldest residents in towns across Massachusetts.
