Sudbury Selectmen OK New Town Manager's Contract
Sudbury's new town manager, Henry L. Hayes Jr., was chosen at a meeting in January. He will start work on April 1.

SUDBURY, MA — The Sudbury Board of Selectmen this week agreed to a three-year contract for incoming town manager Henry L. Hayes Jr. He will earn a $180,000 per year salary with the possibility for raises each year.
Hayes, a commander at Hanscom Air Force Base, will take over for interim Town Manager Maryanne Bilodeau on April 1. He was initially chosen as the new town manager at the Jan. 9 Selectmen meeting.
According to the contract, the Selectmen will set goals for Hayes within 30 days of him starting the job. He will undergo evaluations after 90 days and six months, and then on an annual basis.

On top of his base salary, Hayes will get a $4,800 per-year vehicle allowance, $6,000 per year toward a retirement fund, plus 20 days of vacation per calendar year.
